Are flip flops or sandals okay to wear to drive the go-karts?

Grand Prix recommends that customers wear sneakers or closed-toe shoes to drive a go-kart but it is not a requirement. However, sneakers or closed-toe shoes are required to climb on the Climbing Wall.
